FOR UK PLASTERERS

Just text it.
Get the paperwork back.

Skimming, re-plastering, rendering, boarding. Tell Qenn the job on WhatsApp - voice note from the van, or a quick text. You get a drafted quote or invoice back with square metres, materials and VAT worked out. Review, approve, send.

You get a WhatsApp Business number of your own. Customers text the business, not your personal phone.

Priced by the room,
written up three jobs later.

You skimmed the lounge Monday, boarded and re-plastered a damp wall Tuesday, quoted a full re-render Wednesday. Each one needs its own square-metre working-out - different prep, different finish, different drying time before the next coat. None of it happens standing in the room. It happens that evening, if it happens at all.

By the time you sit down with the numbers, you're quoting three jobs from memory and hoping you've got the m² roughly right, because the notebook page with the actual measurements is still in the van.

A 2026 survey of 1,000 UK small business owners put it at 11 hours a week lost to admin and finance tasks, six working days a month. If that's you, at £200 a day it's about £13,000 a year of unbillable time - on top of quotes that go out too late and too vague to win the job outright.

Built for the way
plasterers actually work.

01 / QUOTE

Quote from a voice note

Describe the job while it's fresh: room dimensions, whether it's a skim over sound plaster, a full re-plaster, boarding first, or a render. Qenn works it out by square metre and drafts the quote with materials and VAT. A photo shows the wall - it won't show you what's under it, so the voice note does the real work.

02 / INVOICE

Invoice the same day

Final coat's on, walls are drying. Voice note from the van: what was actually done, m² covered, materials used. Qenn drafts the PDF invoice before the first coat's even dry.

03 / MEMORY

Every customer, every wall

“What did we charge for the Ravensworth Road re-plaster?” Qenn knows. Every room, every m², every price - asked once, never asked again.

04 / CHASE

Polite payment reminders

Type “chase the Fenwick Street job.” Qenn drafts a polite reminder. You review the wording. It goes out. No awkward calls, no Sunday nights working out who still owes you.

Why we don't oversell
the photo for plastering.

A photo of a wall shows you cracked paint or a damp patch. It doesn't tell you the square metreage, whether it's a straightforward skim over sound plaster or a full hack-off and re-plaster, whether boarding's needed first, or whether there's damp behind it that changes the whole job. That's a judgement call you make in the room, not from a photo on a phone.

So for plastering, Qenn leads on what actually works: describing the job by voice note or text - dimensions, condition, finish required - the way you'd talk a customer through it on site. A photo is useful supporting evidence for the quote, but you're still the one telling Qenn what the wall actually needs.

Setup: about ten minutes,
most of it on Meta’s screens.

STEP 1

Get your number

One Facebook sign-in creates your WhatsApp Business account, and you get a number of your own. Save it to your phone like any other contact.

STEP 2

Text it naturally

“Quote the kitchen photo I just sent.” “Chase the Henderson invoice.” “When am I free Thursday?” No app to learn. No dashboard. No new login.

STEP 3

Review & send

Qenn drafts. You approve. Nothing goes out to a customer without your explicit OK. Always.

“Used to lose half an evening writing up a quote: measuring, typing, looking up materials. Now I send the photo and Qenn drafts the lot. Got my evenings back.”
