FOR UK ELECTRICIANS

Just text it.
Get the quoting and chasing off your plate.

Rewires, consumer unit swaps, EICRs, day-rate callouts. Tell Qenn the job on WhatsApp - voice note or text. You get a drafted quote back with day rate, materials and VAT worked out, the invoice drafted from a voice note once the job’s signed off, and the payment chased without you writing a word.

You get a WhatsApp Business number of your own. Customers text the business, not your personal phone.

The consumer unit swap from March,
still not invoiced.

You did the consumer unit swap Tuesday and the EICR on a rental Thursday. Both need invoicing, and the rewire quote for Friday still isn’t written. All of it is sat in your head, or on a paper pad in the van, waiting for an evening you don’t have.

The rewire quote is worse - first fix, second fix, containment, testing, certification, day rate versus fixed price. By the time you’ve worked it all out properly, the customer’s had two other electricians round.

A 2026 survey of 1,000 UK small business owners put it at 11 hours a week lost to admin and finance tasks, six working days a month. If that’s you, at £55 an hour it’s over £29,000 a year of unbillable time - on top of the certificate paperwork the regulations already ask of you.

Built for the way
electricians actually work.

01 / QUOTE

Quote from a voice note

Describe the rewire or consumer unit swap in a voice note between jobs: rooms, circuits, containment, whether it’s a day-rate or fixed-price job. Qenn structures it into a drafted quote with materials, labour and VAT.

02 / INVOICE

Invoice from a voice note

Job’s certified and signed off. Voice note from the van covering what you did and how long it took. Qenn drafts the PDF invoice - day rate, materials, VAT - before you’re back at the unit.

03 / MEMORY

Every customer, every job

“What did we do at the Johnsons’ last time?” Qenn knows. Customer details, prior jobs, what was quoted and what was invoiced - asked once, never asked again. Add a note like “EICR due March 2027” and ask about it later.

04 / CHASE

Polite payment reminders

Type “chase the Marlowe Street invoice.” Qenn drafts a polite reminder. You review the wording. It goes out. No awkward calls, no Sunday nights doing the sums on who still owes you.

Why we don’t oversell
the photo for electrical work.

A joiner’s photo of a kitchen is a specification you can quote straight off. A photo of a consumer unit or a socket doesn’t tell you what’s happening in the circuits behind the wall, what the earthing arrangement is, or what condition the wiring’s actually in - that’s testing and inspection, not something a photo can stand in for.

So for electrical work, Qenn leads on what actually works: describing the job - rooms, circuits, containment, day-rate or fixed-price - by voice note or text, the way you’d talk it through. A photo of the board or the damage is useful supporting evidence, but you’re still the one telling Qenn what the job actually is.

Setup: about ten minutes,
most of it on Meta’s screens.

STEP 1

Get your number

One Facebook sign-in creates your WhatsApp Business account, and you get a number of your own. Save it to your phone like any other contact.

STEP 2

Text it naturally

“Quote the kitchen photo I just sent.” “Chase the Henderson invoice.” “When am I free Thursday?” No app to learn. No dashboard. No new login.

STEP 3

Review & send

Qenn drafts. You approve. Nothing goes out to a customer without your explicit OK. Always.

“Used to lose half an evening writing up a quote: measuring, typing, looking up materials. Now I send the photo and Qenn drafts the lot. Got my evenings back.”

The obvious questions.

Can I quote a consumer unit swap from a voice note?

Yes. Talk the job through as you would on the phone: the board, the circuits, any remedial work, day rate or fixed price. Qenn sets it out as materials and labour, works out the VAT if you’re VAT-registered, and drafts the quote for you to check. Nothing goes to the customer until you approve it.

Does Qenn answer customer enquiries while I’m working?

Yes. When a customer messages your Qenn number, Qenn replies, tells them it’s an AI assistant for your business, and asks for what’s missing: what the job is, the address, when suits them. Calls to the number are answered too, and you get a summary on WhatsApp. Prices only go out as a quote you’ve approved.

Can Qenn book callouts into my diary?

Yes. Text it “book the Patels in for Thursday at 10” and it goes in your calendar. When a customer asks for a time, Qenn checks your calendar and suggests a slot, and the job is only booked when you say yes.

Does Qenn keep track of EICRs and certificates?

Not as a register. Add a note to the customer’s record, such as “EICR due March 2027”, and ask Qenn about it later, or ask it to remind you nearer the date. The certificates themselves stay wherever you keep them now.

Do my customers need to install anything?

No. They message your business number on WhatsApp, which most of them already use. There’s nothing for them to download and nothing for you to log in to.
